PROJECT LOS PLANTADOS, OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION:
The organization Proyecto Los Plantados, Inc. was created with the primary purpose of:
Proyecto Los Plantados, Inc. (Plantados Project) collects the history of the sacrifices made by Cubans in their fight for freedom during the dictatorship of the brothers Raul and Fidel Castro. For current and future generations of Cubans and the world, this Project promotes the following in various languages:
• To recover the history of the glorious Cuban political prisoners, its stoic “plantados” (unbroken prisoners). The names of each prisoner, along with their number and cause, the executed and those murdered in prison. The forced labor plan between 1964-1967. A list of hunger strikes and their victims. The list of those who died in combat in cities and mountains, fighting against the dictatorship of the brothers Raul and Fidel Castro.
• To continue requesting the recognition of the true meaning of the concept known as “Plantado” in the Spanish dictionary. For this purpose, in 2019, signatures were collected and submitted from former political prisoners, asking the “Real Academia Española” (RAE) to add a new definition to the word “Plantado.” A response was received indicating that the request was in the lexicon department.
• To document the true history of the “Plantados,” with living witnesses, and to share it in schools and universities around the world to contribute to the dissemination of the historical truth from the survivors themselves in their struggle for emancipation.
• To maintain a website: losPlantados.com, and plantadosProject.com, to provide Cubans on the enslaved island with the true history that has been hidden from them, helping them counter the false indoctrination they have been subjected to since 1959.
• To keep diplomatic delegations, embassies, personalities, allies or not, residing in and traveling to Cuba informed about the political prisoners who are incarcerated at that moment solely for thinking differently or being considered opponents of the dictatorship.
• To build a monument with a museum in several cities in the USA, and in the future, in every city in Cuba, so the world can learn about the horrors of communism, and know that in Cuba, there was a “Forced Labor Program” under the dictatorship of Raul and Fidel Castro.
• For educational and historical purposes, to send real documentation about the struggle of both Black and White Cubans for their emancipation to political, religious, intellectual, cultural, and tourist organizations in the USA and the world that still support and assist the Cuban dictatorship.
• To support U.S. political candidates who meet the democratic principles and conditions that unite us against the common enemy: socialism and communism.
• Organizations with similar aims in the USA, other countries, and Cuba will be invited to have representation in “Proyecto Los Plantados”.
• Cubans inside and outside Cuba, as well as citizens from other allied countries, will also be allowed to become member-volunteers of *Proyecto Los Plantados* to support, help, promote, share, and follow all the planned guidelines of the project.
